The sleek silhouette of the G Free Body and understated looks are exceptionally attractive and certainly belie the affordability of this well engineered range. And in use you’ll be equally as impressed. The Nasci does everything so well, with the minimum of fuss. The lightweight Ci4+ Body balances rods superbly well, the rotation is smooth and powerful, and the front drag is responsive and smooth.
Internally the Nasci features HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP, two of Shimano’s leading engineering technologies. These combine to produce smooth, powerful rotation, which is extremely efficient when under pressure and will also ensure your reel will keep working at peak performance almost indefinitely. The addition of the latest Silent Drive technology moves performance to an even higher level, with whisper quiet operation. There are 12 models in the range, starting with the ultra small 500 size designed for the lightest of finesse fishing, right up to a 5000 size powerhouse that features an extra high gear ratio retrieve, making it perfect for long range fishing with crankbaits. Casting is enhanced by a combination of ultra smooth line lay and an AR-C spool and additional water protection is provided by Coreprotect (IPX4) on line roller and the roller bearing. You can partner the Nasci reel with the excellent Nasci lure rod range to make an affordable, high performance matching combo.
